A Rolls-Royce radiates wealth and status. This is partly due to the graceful statue that adorns the hood. But what does it actually cost if you use this so-called Spirit of Ecstasy need to replace?
It might be useful to first provide some context. It is obvious that a Rolls-Royce is expensive. But how pricey exactly? The ‘cheapest’ model, the Ghost, will cost you at least 400,000 euros. All expensive options still have to be checked.
Price of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan
The brand’s now so popular SUV will even cost you at least 430,000 euros. This famous footballer, who recently destroyed his in Amsterdam, also knows that you can increase the price tag of the Cullinan much further.
If that Rolls-Royce Cullinan is still patched up, the repair costs will increase considerably. Parts from the famous British luxury brand are anything but cheap, it turns out.
Value of the Spirit of Ecstasy
On the nose of a Rolls-Royce you will find a metal statue that is shaped after actress and model Eleanor Thornton. This mini work of art has been inextricably linked to the luxury brand since 1911. Nowadays the statue even automatically folds away when grasping hands Spirit of Ecstasy stir.
This statue is valuable. The Flying Spares website offers original figurines that fit all current models. The price? 2,946 euros, including tax. Especially for Rolls-Royce models that are equipped with a Black Badge (such as the Cullinan of the aforementioned footballer), there is a black Spirit of Ecstasy. This costs no less than 3,716 euros including tax. You can buy a great used car for that.
Valve cap from a Lamborghini Urus
Rolls-Royce is of course not the only brand that charges exorbitant amounts for spare parts. We previously found out how much a new valve cap for a Lamborghini Urus costs and how much money you spend on an original Ferrari emblem. However, all this pales in comparison to this part, for which a Swedish car manufacturer asks no less than 365,000 euros.
