According to educational pedagogue Hans Bakker, fear in children is part of development, but there are also fears – especially in the period around Halloween – that have more to them. “During Halloween, the spiritual increases and it’s all about those ghouls, ghosts and ghosts … “Children are lured into a spirit world that they, and parents too, have no knowledge of,” says Bakker about occult burdens in children.
When a child has been exposed to occultism, he or she may start to show ‘symptoms’, Bakker explains. A lot can play and happen among children. Bakker gives an example of parents who let their children participate in drinks and other occult activities in the dark on a Wednesday afternoon. The children were ‘bribed’ with fries not to say anything to their parents. “A few months ago, a child from a Christian family suddenly started showing anti-religious symptoms such as swearing while praying or reading the Bible.” The parents discovered that the origins were the visits to the neighborhood boyfriend, and they were shocked. “The woman who initiated it confessed to it, she also promoted it within the neighborhood and children are victims of this.”
Pedagogue Hans Bakker mentions a number of other symptoms of occult burden in children such as emotional problems such as depression, sleeping problems, feeling of insecurity, seeing ghosts or movement, hearing voices and concentration problems at school. This concerns a (sudden) change in behavior. In short: as parents, be alert to what your child comes into contact with and break away from occult matters when they arise.
