Wout van Aert and his wife Sarah De Bie invest in the Belgian candle manufacturer Mon Dada. The company produces artisanal candles in concrete pots. “This luxury product brings a feeling of authentic and cozy living,” say Van Aert and De Bie.

“We had been following the Mon Dada brand for some time and were secretly in love with the product. The handmade candles are simply unique and immediately appeal to many. The love for the product was actually the reason for this investment. However, Pauline’s story has convinced us even more to join her success story. The craft and feeling that Pauline wants to create with Mon Dada are so pure.”

Thanks to the new investment, the Belgian company could take a new step, something they have been working on for some time. “Thanks to Wout and his entourage, including Bruno Descamps, CEO of Lamett, I am completely convinced that we have drawn up a very nice plan for the coming years,” says founder Pauline Dhaenens.

This is not the first time that Van Aert has invested in a Belgian company. The Jumbo-Visma cyclist previously invested in Heylen Vastgoed.
