Analogue comes with a modern solution for Nintendo 64

Analogue 3D controller

Analogue is the well-known company behind the Analogue Pocket. The next big project that the company will come up with is Analogue 3D. A mixture of new and old to offer the old 64-bit game console with new features in razor-sharp 4K image quality.

Analogy 3D is a new variant of the Nintendo 64 game console. The Analogy game console will be made available in 2024. Enthusiasts can register now on Analogue’s website to be notified when the product is available.

Bluetooth and 2.4G connection, four ports for original Nintendo 64 controllers, fully developed in FPGA and its own Analogue OS (Operating System). All games run physically on the console, so there is no emulation involved. That’s right! So you put your physical Nintendo 64 cartridges in the console to play them in 4K. The console also comes with display modes including modes that simulate CRT and PVM. Analogue claims it is the first and only solution for 100% compatibility with Japanese, European and American cartridges.

It is not yet known what the system will look like, although the company does provide a small glimpse of the controller. You can see what this will look like at the top of this news item.

What is Analogue?

Analogue is the well-known manufacturer behind the Analogue Pocket. The modern Game Boy that plays physical Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games with modern features including save state on the console itself. The handheld is very popular and is therefore almost never available in stock. The rare moments when new stock appears never last long. The console sells out within minutes, despite the fairly high price.

In addition to the Pocket, Analogue has also released consoles for other cartridge-based consoles. And next year a first 3D console. Will you be ready to order the Analogue 3D when the time comes?
