Municipality of Capelle signs Collaborative Agreement (SOCK) with five developers
The first pile that goes into the ground for the conversion of the vibrant city district Rivium keeps coming closer. An important ‘paper’ hurdle is taken today. In the SOK, developers and the municipality make agreements about how they will jointly develop Rivium. It also describes which planning procedures must be completed in the near future before the area can ultimately be prepared for construction. Construction of the first apartments can begin in 2026. Ultimately, around 5,500 new homes will be built in Rivium.
Living and living
The emphasis in Rivum will be on building apartments. A number of office buildings are being converted into homes, other buildings are being demolished and replaced with new construction. The buildings will have different heights, with the two largest residential towers able to rise to over 130 meters in height. Most residential towers will be around 70 meters high.
