WELLS The willingness to invest to accelerate housing construction within the Husselerveld project is certainly present among the mayor and aldermen of the municipality of Putten. This is evident from the answer to questions from Herman Luitjes on behalf of the Wij Putten faction.

This concerns the disappearance of sixty-five mobile homes and a staff house. Instead, a permit has been issued for the construction of ten Tiny Houses, seventeen terraced houses, six semi-detached houses and four detached houses. The zoning plan has become irrevocable following a ruling by the Council of State. An objection procedure is still underway against the permit for the construction, initiated by Wim van Ganswijk, owner of the adjacent Stormbroek estate.

CONSULTATION

The council indicates that it has frequently consulted with the initiator of the plan in the follow-up process with the objection procedures to look at the possibilities. However, the possibilities for the municipality to take action are nil when it comes to the process surrounding the handling of objections and appeals at the Council of State.

The developer himself contacted the objector several times to investigate whether there were opportunities to make changes to the plan in order to meet the objections. However, the discussions have not led to solutions.

PROGRESS

In discussions with the initiator, the council keeps a close eye on the progress of the process at the Council of State. The council cannot attach any actions to this. The highest court in the Netherlands itself is responsible for handling the case. The council sees no other role than outlined.
