With a stock of no fewer than 17,000 various items, ranging from party clothes to ventriloquist dummies, and from mugs to streamers, Jan Monnikendam is the party store in Haarlem. Founded in 1901 by Juda Monnikendam.
Jos and his wife Jeanette Groskamp have been at the helm since 1971. Although Jos is no longer in the store every day, the party store lives on. His daughter Janneke Groskamp, the fourth generation of the family, now runs the store together with her husband André.
