Omroep Flevoland – News – Residents can invest in the Green Wind Plan

Residents of the municipalities of Dronten and Lelystad will have the opportunity to participate financially in Windplan Groen. 9999 bonds will be put on the market, with a value of 500 euros each.

With the issue, the wind plan raises almost 5 million euros. Residents who buy bonds lock up their money for ten years. They receive a benefit of 6 percent every year. That is more interest than banks pay on private savings.

Participate from 500 euros
There will be information meetings about these bond loans on October 10 and 11. Candidates can register for this on the Windplan Groen website. There are conditions attached. For example, participants must live in Dronten or Lelystad. They must be 18 years or older and they are not allowed to participate in another wind farm. You can participate from 500 euros, up to a maximum of 50,000 euros.

The bonds were created because the province once set this as a condition: the population must also be able to benefit from those wind turbines in the backyard.
