Limex Machine Exploitatie has entered into a partnership with Matman Washing Solutions. With the collaboration, the company wants to expand in the Australian market. A logical collaboration, says Rob van Geneijgen of Matman Washing Solutions.
Family ties are a common thread in the history of both Limex and MatMan Washing solutions. Limex was founded by the father of current director Joep Janssen and Rob’s father is a first cousin of Joep’s mother. Rob saw the expansion opportunities for the Limex washing machines in Australia.

And expanding to Australia appears, Rob says, to have been the right decision. He sees a lot of growth in the market, in several segments. “We see a lot of potential in nurseries, hydroponics and soft fruit. In addition to those main segments, we also do business in the poultry industry and in the emerging market for home delivery services for food. Reusable packaging material for those markets must be washed hygienically, and that is our specialty .”

“I only use Limex machines because of the proven quality,” says Rob. Because he can install and maintain the machines himself, service and maintenance can be arranged quickly. Rob personally visits customers and guides them through the entire process. He has machines in stock that he can test, prepare and install for the customer. “This practical approach works very well. This way there is always a solution available that meets the customer’s needs.”
Prospects of expanding the Australian market
Although geographically speaking they could hardly be further apart, Joep and Rob work closely together. Joep: “Rob regularly comes to the Netherlands to catch up with our team, and we provide training, both on site and remotely. And during my visits to MatMan, the meetings on Rob’s fishing boat are always a highlight.”
Rob confirms the mutual benefits of the partnership: “It is very beneficial to our business that Joep and I get along well, both personally and professionally. We stand for good service and customer care on a personal level. I look forward to to do this together with MatMan Washing Solutions, with the Limex team, in the coming years, well beyond their 30th anniversary.”
